I would like to let you know that we had a party at your Ridgemar location in Fort Worth. Your Manager did a great job with our Girl Scout Troop. We showed up Saturday morning and were greeted with our own party person. I can't remember the manager's name or associate that helped us, but they were awesome!! Our party person, led our Troop through the store and had the girl's recite the Girl Scout Promise. This was the best time the girl's have ever had. I was at the Build-A-Bear Workshop at the Lakeside Shopping Center in Metairie, Louisiana. I've been there quite a few times but have never seen what I saw today. Today was one of the customers' birthday. The customer was a little girl. The bear associate who was checking out the customer stopped everything and announced the little girl's birthday. The store was very crowded at the time, but everyone stopped what they were doing and participated in the Build-a-Bear Workshop birthday song. I'm glad that I was there at the time. The Build-a-Bear Workshop seems to be one of the very few places that everyone gets along and looks happy. I'm talking about the customers and the associates. I can't wait to go there again. Hi! I just came from my son's birthday party at the Build-A-Bear Workshop at Hamilton Place Mall in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I just had to let you know how much fun everyone had. It was the best party ever! We had 10 3 yr. and 4 yr. old and it was 10:00 am. Your staff was so prepared and so professional. They were great with the kids. Laura was so kid friendly. I used to teach and I know what a special person it takes to be able to connect to children and also keep them in line. I am sure all of my friends will be back. They had never made a bear before. We went to the Crossgates Mall location and Cara was our party rep. She was extremely enthusiastic and eager to help us when we came in. We just celebrated our daughter's 6th birthday with a party at the Build-a-Bear Workshop in Willow Grove, PA and we had such a wonderful experience. We had my daughter's 4th birthday party at Concord Mills, Concord, NC. I wanted to write and commend your representatives for a job very well done. The 7 little girls were thoroughly entertained and for once, I feel that I got more than I paid for with the party that was put together. Robin was our party hostess and she was wonderful. It is difficult to keep the attention of 7 4-year old girls, but she did an excellent job. Your staff was very helpful in allowing us to temporarily store our cake and presents in a secure location. My daughter celebrated her 11th birthday at your store in Alderwood Mall, located in Lynnwood, Washington. Both my daughters love shopping at your store and save up their allowance to do so. The lion is gorgeous--its fur is so soft and lovely. Our school mascot is the lion and you had a cheerleader outfit in our school colors of gold and black and I got the lion dressed in that outfit. This is MY last year of coaching volleyball for our school--35 years!- and the lion will go to all our games this season. I will tell all the girls where to get one too. I don't have a build a bear workshop near enough to our family and my daughter learned about build a bears through a friend who took her to a workshop and bought her a bear. She now owns 2 and this gift will be her third. It is nice to be able to purchase it online so that I can continue to purchase them for her. I can also buy her gift cards so that she can pick out her own and build it herself.

I went into your store for the first time today in Appleton, Wisconsin. My husband and I were doing some early Christmas shopping and looking for ideas for my daughter's birthday. I was extremely impressed with the service we received. We had a sales associate named Sara come right over. I have never had anyone be as friendly and helpful as she was! Wow, what a great job this store did! We had 19 kids ranging in age from 1-18, with a majority of 3 year olds. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about entertaining such a wide range of ages, but my little boy is still reeling from the excitement, All of his friends from daycare had a bring your bear day at school, and we have been fielding the thank you's and rave reviews from the parents ever since. Hi! I just wanted to give a big thank you to Sarah and Lindsay and all the other staff at the Alderwood Mall Build-A-Bear Workshop store. We had my daughter's 11th birthday party there. We had a total of 13 people making bears, 10 kids and 3 adults. My friend was not going to make a bear but as we were in our circle playing games while people took turns stuffing their bears, she couldn't resist any longer. (She ended up making a bear for her husband that should remind him of his favorite picture of her as a four year old earth child). I adore Build-A-Bear Workshop! I think it is a wonderful idea to be able to personalize a stuffed animal. I just wanted you to know what a great party my daughter had at Build-A-Bear Workshop for her 9th B'day. It ended just 3 1/2 hours ago and I wanted to make sure that I wrote you while I was still so excited. We went to Ridgmar Mall in Ft. Worth, TX and it could not have been more fun. Our host was Cedric also know as Ceddy Bear. He was AWESOME!!!!!!! I don't think that I understood what a Build a Bear Workshop party was but now that I have I'm sure my daughter will not even think of anything else next year. Cedric had them dancing, singing carols and riding the roller coaster through the store. I haven't laughed that hard in so long. December is such a hard time to have a party for children and all the stress was taken out of it. He helped them pick out their bears, stuff them and even dressed them for the girls. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you. I was suggesting to my Girl Scout troop that we take the girls there and after I tell them of this experience, I'm sure everyone will agree to go. Hi! Today was my daughter's Build-A-Bear Workshop party and I felt compelled to compliment the wonderful staff in Menlo Park Mall. Shereen, Sarah and Selina were our Party Bear Managers! They were amazing! They were patient and helpful! I had children ranging from 9 years to 4 months and they were great with all of them! Just wanted to give you some positive feedback regarding my daughter's party at your Alderwood Mall store. The team leader was wonderful. She was organized, patient and very perky, even though we had a big range of ages in our group of kids. Although we ended up adding voices and outfits to some of the bears, at no time did I or the other parents feel any pressure to purchase add-ons from the party leader. While some kids took their time selecting outfits, our party leader helped the other kids add pretty bows to their bears. I will be happy to recommend your parties to other parents. I thought it was affordable, everyone had a wonderful time and the kids really enjoyed bringing home bears of their own. Our daughter, Ariela, had a wonderful eighth birthday party hosted by Stephanie at the Build-a-Bear Workshop in the Paramus Park Mall, New Jersey. We are really happy with all of the purchases made from the Build-A-Bear Workshop. The quality of the animals is really good the clothes and shoes are adorable and everything stands up to daily play. We've referred many people to the store and website. We will be continuing to shop for future birthdays Christmases etc. Great prices very reasonable very fun and still very interactive even though everything is on-line. I would definitely come back to this site again! I think this is a great idea to be able to buy gift cards for anyone & let them experience building their special animal at a workshop by using their gift cards. My daughter had her 13th birthday party at Build-a-Bear Workshop in the Palisades Center Mall. It was a full house on a Sunday with 18 party guests ranging in ages from 2 to 14, both male and female. Our party associate, Raffi, was not only wonderful, but very patient with such a large party. Everyone had a great time. I was told that my daughter was too old for a party there, but the parents took their words back after the party and are already booking their children's party there. They had such a great time! I love the store it is so much fun to go in and build a bear with friends or by yourself. I love the concept of a Build-A-Bear Workshop animal because it is a great gift and something you can make so personal to the person you are giving it to especially now that there is the option to have things embroidered.

I had my daughter's 10th birthday party at Build-A-Bear in the Smith Haven Mall in New York. Alexis was our "party leader" and I have to tell you that she was excellent. She was wonderful with the girls, answering their endless questions and dealing graciously with their comments about totally unrelated subjects. She was energetic and upbeat and she kept the girls interested, even when they had down time (ie. when taking turns to stuff their animals). The girls really liked her, and in the car on the way home they told me that she was nice and that they thought she was "really cool". My daughter just had her seventh birthday party at the Build-a-Bear Workshop location in Natick, MA. She was a little disappointed that her party went from 15 guests down to only 7, so the first thing she tells our party coordinator is that she is there for a small birthday party. I thought that the party coordinator was very quick and wise to ensure my daughter that there was no such thing as a small party, that no matter how big or small the party, they were going to have an enormous amount of fun. And that's exactly what they had. Our party coordinator, had a tremendous amount of patience and creativity. She was fun, energetic and loving as well. I wanted to thank her and all of the store staff for the great time my daughter and her guests had. Even when singing the Birthday song, the entire store staff joined in and made it very fun and special. I'm really glad I've decided to agree on having her birthday with Build-a-Bear Workshop. We just had my daughter's birthday party at your Middletown, NY store. We had boys and girls ranging from 4 to 10 years old, and it was a huge hit. We loved that it was an activity and favor all in one. A few of the moms have called me to let me know that their kids haven't set down their bears for a few days now. I just had to take a minute to let you know what a wonderful party we had for my daughter. Of course, I had read the reviews when I first visited your website, and I thought they must be exaggerated. Or maybe the mom's were still on that "birthday high" when they wrote them. I understood your concept and how cool it was, so I expected a nice party. What I didn't expect was the exceptionally high standard of customer service provided by EVERYONE at the store. Our party leader was awesome! There are many ways to do her job, but she really put her heart into it. Her big eyes and bright smile conveyed a genuineness that both the kids and the parents bought into. She was patient yet perky and even though she was having fun, I could tell that she was very organized and knew her job. She literally made the party. So chalk me up as one of those gushing moms that can't say enough about Build-A-Bear Workshop. What can I say, the legend is true. You guys take customer service to a new level. Today my niece and I visited the Build a Bear in Rivertown Crossing Mall, Grandville, MI. Originally, I was only going to purchase the New York Yankees Baseball outfit. My niece overheard me talking and asked if she could come with me to make a Rudolph animal. When we walked in the store, I decided to make it a special day and as she was making Rudolph, I began making a Mrs. Claus Bear. The assistants at the store were so helpful and friendly. They showed us where the accessories were and also helped dress our newly made friends. I would like to say "thank-you" to the assistants at the store. My 9 year old daughter had her birthday party at Build-A-Bear Workshop in October at the new store at the Independence Center located in Independence, MO. I was apprehensive that the costs would be high for such a nice 'treat bag' to take home the bear. I also feared that 9 year olds were too old for a Build-A-Bear Workshop party. The staff I talked to at the store and again on the phone were helpful and relieved any fears that I had about the party. We have done parties at 6 different places in the past, so I felt like I have a lot to compare this party to. The treat bags at the other party places were always so tiny that I always felt like I needed to bring other treat bags of my own also. The party that our leader, Virginia, had for us at Build-A-Bear Workshop was awesome. It was organized, kept their attention, made the birthday girl feel extra special, they kept the children all on the budget and worked with them to get them what they wanted. It was the easiest party I have ever had and the cheapest party. The dressed bears were so nice they did not need an extra treat bag and since they do not allow food in the store the cost of cake, punch, ice cream, silverware, cups, and plates saved another $50 or so. I recently visited one of your stores in Overland Park KS. I took my niece there for her sixth birthday. I wanted to compliment you on your staff. When I visited your store was packed. The line went out into the mall hallway. Your whole staff remained cool through out my whole visit. Each one of your staff took the time to make each little kid feel special at every station. They each took time to talk to my niece and answer my questions. The overwhelming amount of people didn't rattle them at all. I use to work retail part time. My now fiancé traveled down to Castleton Mall in Indianapolis. He purchased the Nikki bear II for me. On November 6, 2004 he got his parents and mine together. We went to dinner and every one in the restaurant knew what was going on. He had his step dad go out and bring in the "I'm going home box". Inside the box was Nikki's bear 2 in the bridal gown holding the red heart that says I love you on it and in the back of the heart was my engagement ring. Of course I told him yes. Since he got me the bridal bear I made a trip down to get him the groom. I purchased the polar bear and put him in the tuxedo and gave him to him as his engagement gift. -Amy

I just wanted to drop you a note to compliment your employee Steve Szabo. My daughters and I have been visiting your store in the Quakerbridge Mall on several occasions and also had birthday parties there. We just celebrated our daughter's ninth birthday at Build-A-Bear Workshop in the St. Louis Galleria store. We invited her whole class. (27 kids) The party was fabulous, and I highly recommend having a Build-A-Bear Workshop party. The kids were very aware of their budget, and I could not believe the math calculations that were going on - way more than in an ordinary classroom situation! It was so fun to watch them dress their bears and animals and to make decisions about what they wanted. The kids LOVED the party and our family so enjoyed hosting it. I just had a wonderful experience at your "Build A Bear" store (Summit Mall, Akron, Ohio). My granddaughter, Alissa who is 7 years old, was diagnosed with a heart disease (Long QT Syndrome) a year and a half ago. Four weeks after being diagnosed, she had surgery to put an ICD in her belly. This is a defibulator and pacemaker device. She will have this device for the rest of her life. She has a lot of restrictions in her life now and has struggled with being different from other kids. We have found a few things that have been helpful. Last summer she met other kids who had heart diseases and some even had the ICD like her. Then later last year she met a nurse who was able to show her what the device really looked like. She even got to pick it up and hold it. She was so amazed and excited to be holding one. A week or so ago I saw you on Oprah with the "Build A Bear". When I saw how much attention went into placing the heart in the bear, I was amazed. I knew she would soon be getting a gift certificate from her cousin to Build A Bear. I remembered the defibulator we had seen last year and thought wouldn't it be great if we could get one to put in her bear. I contacted the hospital where the nurse we met last year worked. I asked to speak to a nurse in Cardiology. I explained that I was looking to get a used/old defibulator to put in a "Build A Bear" for my granddaughter and why I wanted the defibulator. To my amazement, I had been connected to the same nurse we had met last year and she remembered Alissa. Well she got us a defibulator and this past Friday we took Alissa to Build A Bear. She chose a bunny to make! We were again surprised because the girl who was working the stuffing machine happened to be a mom we had met last summer at the picnic where Alissa met other children with heart disease. This mom also has a daughter with a heart problem. Thank you for dreaming up such a wonderful place. Because of you and your wonderful staff and a nurse who truly cares for heart patients, Alissa has this bunny that she cherishes for several reasons... One, she loves bunnies; Two, it is soft and cuddly; and Three, it is just like her - It has a defibulator!!! I attached some pictures below. Maybe this theory could be brainstormed by your advisory team and assist other children with medical issues or disabilities....

My daughter had her 7th birthday party. It was at the Roosevelt Field location, Garden City, NY. Our party leader was Jimmy. He did such a great job. There were 13 girls and he kept all of them happy, contained, and in giggles. He was very animated and full of energy. We go to this location at least every 6 weeks and always have a great experience. All of the parents that stayed were amazed at how great the party and kids were handled. Every little girl walked away so happy. That Monday, when I picked my daughter up from school, several of the girls came up to me and told me they all slept with their new furry friends. It was so great to see and hear. Jimmy was fantastic and should be commended on handling the girls so well. He's a great asset to that store. I gave my daughter a party at the Westfield Valley Fair Mall San Jose CA. My daughters and I visited the Grandville store in Michigan. The “bear handlers" were absolutely wonderful. Each lady made my daughters feel like there were very special. My children went to the Build-A-Bear Workshop at Ridgmar Mall to purchase a Labrador retriever and a Westie dog. We went to the Coral Ridge Build-A-Bear Workshop on Mothers Day. Rikki was our leader for our party. We had six cousins there, celebrating one of the girls' 4th birthday. This was a very special time because my dad has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had all of his grandkids with him for the first time since the diagnosis. Rikki was absolutely fantastic! I wanted to write regarding a birthday party for my daughter which was held at the Oakview Mall store. Eric was the 'party bear' and he did a WONDERFUL job. We had 7 kids with us and were not able to spend much money ($15.00 each) so we didn't give them much to work with. Eric did a great job of keeping the kids occupied for the full hour and the kids enjoyed themselves immensely. J Elster

I have loved watching my children make stuffed animals at Build-A-Bear Workshop. The sparkle in their eyes is absolutely priceless. I just had to share this wonderful experience with my dear friend's child. I hope she loves the experience as much as my children and I have.

My daughter had a birthday party in your store in Crossgates Mall in Albany, NY and I want to say what a wonderful experience for all who attended. Our Party leader, Jessica M., was absolutely wonderful. Our group ranged in age from 4-16, and I must say that she was able to keep the attention of all involved. She did a fantastic job with all the kids and I just wanted to let you know what an excellent leader she was. I can't wait to bring my daughter back there again. I just wanted to say thank you to your staff at the Deptford, NJ store for making my daughter’s birthday a great one! The staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially, Saran Dunn. I would just like to pass on a pleasant comment to you in regards to two of your party coordinators at the Oxford Valley Mall location in Langhorne PA. We had a scheduled Girl Scout Party on June 12th and Holly was our coordinator. She was excellent with the different age groups of girls as I had a Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes. We had a Birthday party for my daughter at the same location and Katie was our coordinator. We again had a wonderful time having children from age 4 up to 14; she was wonderful. The concept of dressing up bears is interesting. Bears are great tool in reading especially for children who are learning to read. BEAR stands for B-e E-nthusiastic A-bout R-eading.

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful employee you have in Kara. My daughter and 6 of her friends celebrated her 9th birthday and Kara was the party host. She was fantastic with the kids. She told jokes, sang songs, helped them with their selections and was just all around "FUN". A big Hats off to Kara for her wonderful service and attitude with the children. I have bought Build-A-Bear Workshop animals many times before. It is so easy and safe to shop online. My daughter's boyfriend and my boss are Eagles fans so I felt this would be a nice gift. I will be purchasing animals soon.
